Rules and Regulations of the Marian Awareness Apostolate
(1) MEMBERSHIP
a. Intending member must have had regular attendance for three months before you can be considered for full membership.
b. Auxiliary members are permitted sequel to their full orientation into the spirituality of the Apostolate.
c. An inner member of the Apostolate must be consecrated to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, and the Precious Blood of JESUS CHRIST.
d. Orientation of new members about the Apostolate by male and female leaders.
e. Absence for three weeks without sufficient reason would indicate lukewarmness and therefore attract suspension.
(2) PRAYER/SPIRITUAL OBLIGATION
a. Silence in the prayer Hall must be observed at all meetings and vigils. All discussions and sales of religious articles must be done outside, No noise is tolerated once the apostolate convenes.
b. In leading prayers two people will lead together at each time and nobody is permitted to cut into the prayers to disturb the rhythm and flow.
c. Prayers must be said in the traditional way of the church with a bias for "LATIN"
d. Members must use the format of how to attend mass properly, How to go to confession properly, as prepared by the Apostolate.
e. Members are to say all their prayers as stated in the Marian Awareness Brochure daily and fulfil their spiritual obligations.
f. Members are obliged to obey all the teachings of the church as handed down by Pope John Paul II Our motto is "Obedience in all things but sin".
g. Members are to unite themselves with all the Novena's and true laws coming from the Precious Blood Apostolate as it pertains to us. On the feast of Annunciation 25th of March each year all members must renew their consecration to the Apostolate.
h. All new members will only be accepted after taking their oath of consecration.
(3) GENERAL/CODE OF CONDUCT DURING MEETING
a. Sitting arrangements- All women must sit on the right of the altar and men on the left of the altar.
b. All correspondence by all females must come through female leaders. All correspondence by all male members must come through male leader.
c. Minimum standard of dressing for women decent covering of the body and dressing must not show woman's figure.
d. All women are encouraged to wear the Fatima style of head scarf.
e. Minimum standards of dressing for men
f. No shorts allowed at all
g. Dressing must not show man's figure
h. Exposure of chest, biceps is forbidden
i. Articles of devotions, messages, prayers, prayer books are not to be taken by members without permission from the leader. Such acts are punishable with suspension.
J. No sleeping is allowed during Gethsemane hour or meeting of the, Apostolate.
k. All members are obliged to take part in all the works of the Apostolate.
l. Members are expected to contribute financially to the upkeep of the Apostolate
m. Any member caught in the act of fostering disunity and any act whatsoever that is detrimental to the peace and progress of the Apostolate stands to be suspended for a period of time as deemed necessary by the leader of the Apostolate.
n. All acts of indiscipline, untidiness will not be tolerated and members are to submit fully to the discipline of the Apostolate, which binds us to our comrades.
o. Disciplinary committee will see to the smooth running of all the regulations and allocate disciplinary action if and when necessary.
p. Fasting on Bread and Water is recommended for every member on every Wednesday and Friday.
q. First Saturday devotions are to be observed in perpetuity.
